Sound design and foley is a key part of any film. The sounds these engineers create are as important as the visuals. Without them the desired emotion wouldn’t be created. Such sounds as a T-Rex roar is obviously not possible to record directly from a T-Rex, so a sound designer would need to source and create a sound that accurately portrays the roar of a T-Rex. This is achieved using a combination of a dog, penguin, tiger, alligator and elephant.
