With saving the environment being a massive deal at the moment, it was only a matter of time before someone in music did something that could really catch on and create traction. Here we have the worlds first playable vinyl record that is made from plastics found along the coastline of Cornwall. Sales of the record and digital streams will be donated to the charity Surfers Against Sewage, a UK based charity working on cleaning up Britain’s coastline.
The song is by Mercury Prize nominated artist Nick Mulvey and the vinyl record is manufactured by Tangible Formats. By teaming up they have created something that is incredibly special and should be talked about.
