Repair Assistant
Repair assistant analyses your audio and makes the changes it feels should be made. Removing unwanted clipping, clicks, hum and noise. I personally don’t trust AI software just because I know through testing I can do a more accurate and attentive job. This is ideal for a novice who doesn’t know 100% what they are doing. It is also a good way to create a quick reference file to compare your own settings to.
De-Clip
De-Clip is brilliant. When recording you can sometimes peak, especially when recording spoken dialogue. I have also had mixing jobs where the client has sent clipped audio and could’t remove it themselves. De-Clip will easily remove any clipping and distortion introduced into your audio file.
De-Hum
De-Hum removes any of the ground hum or power hum you can sometimes get in your recordings. I have been sent audio from studios before that have terrible hum in their recordings. The best way to remove this is to use De-Hum. It works brilliantly. Especially if you want to remove the hum found in most electric guitar recordings.
De-Click
De-Click is a really helpful tool when working with audio. Sometimes you will find a random pop in a recording which will need to be removed. De-clip instantly removes any clicks or pops in a recording. Also works well with vocals to remove any pops introduced by the vocalist.
De-Noise
De-Noise is probably the most important tool in the Elements bundle. If you have ever recorded anything you will know surface noise is always recorded. De-Noise will remove any noise that has been recorded. This is an essential tool for videos which have spoken dialogue acapella on it’s own with no audio bed to hide the noise.
