The Bass Station VST is one of those VST’s you never knew you needed until you start using it. It is basically a synth filled with every classic bass sound that I guess would now be considered retro. The sounds still have massive relevance in today’s modern music industry. You only have to listen to the sound review video below to hear how good the presets are, let alone the kind of sounds you can build.
If its classic bass sounds you are after this is the synth for you. It sounds great, feels great, looks just like the hardware and ultimately works really well. Includes a lot of features, allowing you to create some quite interesting sounds. I mean it’s no Serum you aren’t going to making those sorts of sounds. But you will achieve those classic bass sounds you know and love.
The Conclusion…
The Bass Station VSTi is a great synth that really does capture the brilliance of the hardware. OK it hasn’t got that exact same sound that the hardware has being an analogue synthesizer but the VST does capture the sound and style the hardware was known for. If you are after those classic bass sounds, much like the Moog and TB-303 then it’ll give you that. It has a very particular sound, a particular sound many of us know and love. The VST is every bit as relevant now as the hardware was then. It’s a great buy at any price.
