AUDIO ANIMALS REVIEW
In this video I review the incredibly versatile and unique AudioTales Designs 1951 and 1954 mastering EQ. This EQ is one of my favourite EQs and you will see why when you listen to the audio examples. One of the best low ends I have heard in an EQ as well as one of the sweetest high ends ever created going all the way up to 51k.
AUDIOTALES DESIGNS 1951
The name 1951 comes as an hommage to the very first passive tube eq design (released in 1951). Add solid lows and sizzling highs unlike any EQ you have heard before. Shape the low end using the Barytone. Shape the high end using the incredible aircap.
AUDIOTALES DESIGNS 1954
Fully passive mid bands with varishelf. The color EQ can be used much like an amount or mix knob. The best thing about the 1954 though is the loudness knob. This parameter is special, unlike anything you will have heard before. Increase perceived loudness in a highly musical way.
1951/1954 COMBO
Combining the 1951 with the 1954 gives you lots of additional options. Using the two units paired you can switch the 1954 into 1951 mode and utilise the color EQ with both EQs. The colour EQ can be used in mid side to enhance the stereo image by using the 1951 high band in mid side. A very interesting concept that works incredibly well.
